Sodium Sulfacetamide

Sodium Sulfacetamide is a topical sulfonamide antibacterial agent. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of folic acid in susceptible bacteria, thereby preventing bacterial growth. It is widely prescribed as eye drops or ointments for ocular infections, and as lotions, washes, or gels for inflammatory skin conditions.
